Going on a group activity holiday means that you are going to meet other people. People come from all over the world, bringing their desire to paint & to learn. This provides a golden opportunity of the sharing of a passion for painting.

* The tutor is based in the Dordogne & has painted the area for many years. Over a third of his life-span. He knows intimately the light, the local colours, the landscape & the stories that belong to the region. A teacher from elsewhere cannot know these. This wealth of in-depth knowledge means quality tuition for you, and not a delocalised 'same old same.' American students particularly enjoy the European slant, whilst Brits enjoyed the anglo-french flavour to Adam's style.

*All painting mediums - watercolours, oils, acrylics, pen & ink, drawing, photographic. Also beginner level pastels.

* The studio has easels, tables, boards, aprons, sun umbrellas, etc so that you can travel light. A comprehensive materials list (with Adam's tips, it's more of a guide to art materials) is sent out upon booking.

* The art book library is always popular, giving you the chance to read some of the many 'how to paint' books. Adam teaching notes over the years have evolved into a 'how to paint' book, soon to be published.

* NEW ! TROUBLE-FREE TRAVEL FOR ALKYDS, OIL PAINTS & ACRYLICS : We offer the possibility of renting at cost-price a complete set of paints : alkyds or oils or acrylics. So you can simply fly with no luggage worries! Just bring your own brushes & canvas boards or canvas paper. We supply everything else. We teach you to paint in a way so that your paintings are dry enough easily travel home with you. We pack them professionally for you.

* We visit the Prehistoric Painted Cave of Pech-Merle. To see this incredible sanctuary is a moving experience. It will enlarge your understanding of 'art' & humanity. Adam will give a presentation on Prehistoric Art & Origins.
