We run painting courses every year in the last two weeks of June.

The weather tends to be warm but not overwhelming. June is the season of sunflowers, high grass, swallows & azure blue skies. It's also before all the high-season tourists & the high temperatures of July.

EASY TO GET TO : flights from London City, Stanstead & Dublin. We transport to & from Rodez & Brive Dordogne Valley Airports for the friday flights. See Travel Details

900 euros per person per course

300 euros deposit, which you can pay by PayPal

Includes:

*Seven nights accommodation. Course starts at 16hr Day One & finishes at 12hr Day Eight.

*Charming, historic setting with very good painting possibilities.

*Qualified, experienced teacher & inspirational art workshop.

*Adam has painted & lived in the Dordogne region for many years. He is a mid-career painter in oils & watercolour, and thus offers inspiring tuition informed by a wealth of intimate knowledge of the area. A tutor from outside the area can not offer you this.

*Structured foundation course plus lots of quality individual one-to-one teaching.

*Full use of atelier & equipment (easels, boards etc. so you can fly light) & basic studio materials.

* Possibility of renting a set of alkyds or oil paints so that you can fly without any buggage worries.

* Full board with regional cuisine : dinners including a meal in a restaurant, lunches, continental breakfasts, aperitifs, wine , fruit juice, tea & coffee.

*Two trips out, including a visit to Pech-Merle prehistoric painted cave.

*Transport to & from Figeac.

What isn't included:

* Your travel (for some suggestions, see our travel page).

* Your painting materials (except studio basics such as solvents etc).

* Entrance fee to prehistoric cave (about 8 euros).

Group Bookings

For four or more painters, a 50 euro reduction per painter.

For a group of six, seventh painter at half price

Single Persons

Share a twin ensuite (two single beds) with one other person.

Or if you do not wish to share, then you can book an entire ensuite for yourself.

Non Painting Partners

700 euros per person

Enjoy a good holiday whilst relaxing, sunbathing, allez au marché, dining, meeting other people, playing boules and, of course, ignoring the complexities of painter's worries...

We are happy to help you organise your own trips out (Figeac, St.Cirq Lapoppie, Rocamadour... see our Lot Region page), walking along La Route de St. Jacques de Compostelle, playing golf or going canoing...
