We run painting courses every year in the last two weeks of june.

Sat 19 - Sat 26 June 2010 - places still available

Sat 26 June - Sat 3 July 2010 - fully booked

The weather tends to be warm but not overwhelming. June is the season of sunflowers, high grass, swallows & azure blue skies. It's also before all the high-season tourists.

Sat 4 September - Sat 11 September - places still available

Golden light, misty mornings, beautiful evenings, sweet smells & the softness of late summer.

Prices 2010

900 euros per person per course

300 euros Deposit, which you can pay by PayPal

Includes:

*Seven nights accommodation. Course starts at 16hr Day One & finishes at 12hr Day Eight.

*Charming setting with very good painting possibilities.

*Qualified, experienced teacher & inspirational art workshop.

*Structured foundation course plus lots of quality individual one-to-one teaching.

*Full use of atelier & equipment (easels, boards etc. so you can fly light) & basic studio materials.

* Possibility of renting a set of oil paints so that you can just fly without any buggage worries.

* Full board with regional cuisine : dinners including 2 dinners in the chateau, lunches, continental breakfasts, aperitifs, wine , fruit juice, tea & coffee.

*Two trips out, including a visit to Pech-Merle prehistoric painted cave (small entrance fee at your charge).

*Transport to & from Figeac.

What isn't included:

* Your travel (for some suggestions, see our travel page).

* Your painting materials (except studio basics such as solvents etc).

* Wine & aperitifs from pay bar, other than the first aperitif of the evening & 1/4 litre wine per meal.

Or if you do not wish to share, then you can book an entire ensuite for yourself.

Enjoy a good holiday whilst relaxing, sunbathing, allez au marché, dining, meeting other people, playing boules and, of course, ignoring the complexities of painter's worries...

We are happy to help you organise your own trips out (Figeac, St.Cirq Lapoppie, Rocamadour... see our Lot Region page), walking along La Route de St. Jacques de Compostelle, playing golf or going canoing...
